Production Artist

The Production Artist position is responsible for the day-to-day prepress needs for Bell'INVITO and the Print Shoppe, which includes preparing and managing dies, design mechanical files, and supporting the design department to ensure efficient workflow.

Typical work activities will include: 

  • using the provided software and resource databases to implement design and production needs
  • preparing artwork for an array of printing methods
  • managing the ordering and tracking of outsourced dies
  • translating company branding into various marketing channels
  • retouching product photography
  • checking file specifications and recommending necessary changes
  • assisting the design department with design mechanicals and design revisions
  • maintaining and improving server organization
  • adhering to the standards of the companies
  • ensuring standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are met
  • troubleshooting technical difficulties to solve problems for the design department
  • developing and maintaining a working knowledge of the programming languages of Adobe Creative Cloud, Excel, Word, to be able to execute basic tasks
  • managing your own time and work-load to maintain deadlines
  • lifting items weighing twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
  • completing a basic training program so that in an urgent situation, you can cover for a team member in your department who is out
  • knowledge of specialty printing a plus
