An heirloom serving piece that had great sentimental value was brought to us with the request to create a bridal invitation inspired by its art. After making prints of the heirloom design and applying them to the back of the extra thick ebony paper, a soft ivory invitation was engraved in illustrated calligraphy and block type. Finishing touches of hand edging in gold and envelope liners bearing the heirloom print complete this stunning, yet personal invitation set.
